Diabetes is categorized as a metabolism illness.
Metabolism means to the process of a human body to employ digested food for
development and energy. Most of what you eat is packed up into glucose. This
component is a form of sugar that you can found in your blood. Glucose is also
the main source of energy for your body.
When your food is absorbed, the glucose makes its way to
your bloodstream. The cells employ the glucose for development and energy, but
it cannot enter the cells without the presence of insulin since it can make it
possible for the cells it let in the glucose. Moreover, insulin is a hormone
that is made by the pancreas.
After eating, the pancreas will automatically let go of
enough amount of insulin to move the glucose that is present in the blood and
into the cells. It can also lower the level of blood sugar. If you have
diabetes, the amount of glucose in your blood is too eminent. This is simply
because your body is either does not make an adequate amount of insulin nor has
cells that do not react accurately to the insulin that a pancreas generates.
This will result in excess of glucose that builds up in
your blood. This too much blood glucose finally passes out of your body through
urine. Thus, although your blood has lots of glucose, the cells are not
receiving it for their necessary requirements for development and energy.
There are three major kinds of diabetes and these are
Diabetes Type I, Diabetes Type II and Gestational Diabetes. The Diabetes Type I
and II are chronic condition and this also means that they are continuous and
unrelenting, while Gestational Diabetes normally determines itself after a
child’s birth.
